Immobility is a crisis
hiding in plain sight.

Bedridden and mobility-limited patients face a cascade of preventable complications — deep vein thrombosis, pressure injury, anxiety, and the profound psychological toll of losing control over their own bodies.

Current interventions are intermittent, staff-dependent, and address only the physical dimension of immobility. The mind-body connection remains an untapped clinical variable.

Few patient-centered solutions are designed to simultaneously address mobility-related complications, anxiety, and the neurological impact of forced stillness within one immersive experience.

MindMove: Where neuroscience
meets immersive care.

MindMove delivers a multi-sensory therapeutic experience through a VR headset — no physical participation required. The caregiver places the headset, presses play, and the patient enters a clinically designed healing environment.

🌲

Immersive Nature Environments

Carefully designed virtual forest environments trigger the neurological response of perceived movement — the brain experiences motion, calm, and spatial freedom without any physical exertion.

🎧

Clinical Hypnotherapy Audio

Professionally crafted sessions guide relaxation, body awareness, and positive healing suggestion — delivered by a certified hypnotherapist trained in Kappasinian and Ericksonian methodology.

〰️

Therapeutic Audio Entrainment

Therapeutic audio entrainment is designed to complement the immersive environment and support calmer, more restorative nervous-system states.

"Mental rehearsal and immersive perception can activate many of the same neural pathways involved in real physical experience."

Supported by research in neuroplasticity and mental simulation

This is not a theory. It is the established neurological principle behind neuroplasticity, the placebo effect, and decades of mental rehearsal research. MindMove applies it directly to the clinical challenge of forced immobility.

  • Perceived movement activates the same neural pathways as physical motion — without placing any demand on the patient's body.
  • Nature immersion reduces cortisol, lowers heart rate, and activates the parasympathetic nervous system — even in virtual form.
  • Clinical hypnotherapy in receptive states supports relaxation, positive suggestion, and the body's natural healing response.
  • Targeted audio frequencies guide the nervous system toward optimal recovery states using clinically tested sound technology.

How we will measure what matters.

MindMove pilot studies will evaluate changes in patient comfort, anxiety levels, and perceived body engagement during immersive sessions.

Future research collaborations may explore physiological markers associated with relaxation response, autonomic nervous system activity, and patient-reported experience during extended immobility.

Our goal is to build a responsible evidence base that informs future clinical applications while maintaining a patient-centered design philosophy.

Designed for the floor,
not the lab.

MindMove requires no technical literacy from the patient and minimal workflow change for care staff. The system is built for enterprise VR hardware with kiosk-mode lockdown and remote device management.

Where MindMove belongs.

MindMove immersive environments may support experiences for individuals in a range of clinical and care settings where prolonged immobility is a factor.

🏥

Hospital Bedrest

Inpatient care environments where patients face extended immobility during recovery, post-surgery, or acute illness — including ICU, step-down, and general medical units.

🔄

Rehabilitation Settings

Long-term rehabilitation patients managing pain, anxiety, and the psychological impact of restricted mobility during the recovery process.

🌿

Long-Term Care

Elderly care residents and individuals in extended care facilities experiencing sensory isolation, reduced mobility, or anxiety associated with prolonged stillness.

A thoughtful path
toward validation.

MindMove Wellness is being developed with a long-term vision of clinical validation and integration into supportive care environments. Our development pathway reflects responsible, evidence-informed progress and a careful exploration of appropriate regulatory pathways as the technology evolves.

01

Prototype Development

Creation of immersive environments designed to support relaxation, body awareness, and perceived movement during periods of extended bedrest.

02

Pilot User Experience Studies

Early testing with participants to evaluate comfort, emotional response, and perceived body engagement during immersive sessions.

03

Physiological Observation

Exploring correlations between immersive environments and indicators such as relaxation response, stress reduction, and subjective comfort during immobility.

04

Research Partnership & Collaboration

Collaboration with universities and clinical researchers to explore the potential applications of immersive therapeutic experiences in supportive care settings.

Designed as a supportive immersive
platform.

MindMove Wellness is being developed as an immersive therapeutic experience platform exploring how perception, guided attention, and carefully designed environments may support relaxation, body awareness, and a sense of perceived movement during periods of immobility.

Our goal is to thoughtfully develop and evaluate these immersive experiences while building future opportunities for research collaboration and clinical exploration.

"MindMove is designed as a supportive immersive wellness experience — developed responsibly, tested collaboratively, and refined through clinical learning."

Built by a clinician.
Guided by neuroscience.

MindMove emerged from Candice's work in hypnotherapy and her study of perception, guided attention, and the neurological impact of immersive experience on the body and mind.

Candice recognized that this principle, foundational to hypnotherapy, had never been systematically applied to the clinical challenge of inpatient immobility. MindMove is the result of integrating clinical hypnotherapy methodology, licensed therapeutic audio technology, and immersive VR into a single, deployable supportive care platform.

Seeking — Clinical pilot partner for collaborative development and validation

We are not asking for adoption.
We are proposing collaboration.

MindMove is at the pilot stage — exactly where innovative clinical environments and emerging therapeutic technology are meant to meet. We are actively seeking a founding clinical partner.

What We Bring

A provisionally patented therapeutic platform, clinical hypnotherapy expertise, licensed therapeutic audio technology, and a VR development build actively in progress.

What We're Seeking

An inpatient clinical environment to test, measure, and refine MindMove with real patients. A collaborative team willing to co-design the evaluation framework and share findings.

What Partners Gain

First-mover access to a novel therapeutic technology. Co-authorship on outcomes data. The opportunity to shape a platform positioned for national clinical deployment.

Ready to explore a pilot?

Whether you are a clinical innovator, health system leader, researcher, or potential collaborator — we welcome the conversation. MindMove is built for partnership.

Designed with patient safety in mind.

MindMove is being developed as a supportive immersive wellness experience intended to complement — not replace — existing clinical care. The platform is designed for supervised use in healthcare environments and will be evaluated through collaborative pilot testing with clinical partners.

Future development will explore appropriate regulatory pathways, safety considerations, and evidence generation as the technology evolves.
